El Ministerio de Salud Pública alineados con los objetivos 90-90-90 y el lema “Conoce tu estado, ¡hazte la prueba!", propuso fortalecer las acciones de promoción de la salud, la prevención y la atención integral del VIH, para lo cual se ha desarrollado metodologías educomunicacionales que promuevan la toma de decisiones informadas, el acceso oportuno a pruebas rápidas de VIH en mujeres y hombres en edad fértil, mujeres en periodo de gestación.

El Programa Ampliado de Inmunizaciones (PAI) del Ministerio de Salud Pública del Ecuador, tiene a cargo la eliminación, erradicación y control de enfermedades inmunoprevenibles con el fin de disminuir las tasas de mortalidad y morbilidad causadas por estas enfermedades en la población.

La Norma Técnica de Atención Integral a Víctimas de Violencia Basado en Género y Graves Violaciones a los Derechos Humanos, intenta brindar una atención integral a las víctimas de violencia, al tratarse de un problema de salud pública, que afecta a más de un tercio de las mujeres.

Los nacidos vivos en hospitales o centros de salud públicos o privados serán inscritos obligatoriamente con sustento en el Informe Estadístico de Nacido Vivo durante los tres días posteriores al nacimiento, previa notificación del establecimiento de salud respecto del hecho vital. Será obligatoria la indicación de los nombres con los que se inscribirá al recién nacido por parte del padre o la madre, dejando a salvo el derecho a modificarlos en el plazo de 90 días, según lo determina el artículo 31 de la ley orgánica de gestión de la identidad y datos civiles.

Desde el 18 de noviembre de 2019 inicio la campaña contra la influenza en la provincia de Pastaza, la misma que se extenderá hasta el 28 de febrero de 2020 para (niños, niñas, adultos mayores, madres embarazadas, personal de salud, personas privadas de la libertad y personas con discapacidad), se espera aplicar alrededor de 25.803 dosis en la zona urbana y rural.
